Finlay Macdonald founded Chocolates of Glenshiel when he was 16 with the dream to make chocolates that are all about creating a true taste of Scotland
The remoteness and natural beauty of Glenshiel are a constant source of inspiration as Finlay seeks to expand the range of chocolates available and to experiment with different tastes. He always makes sure to use the best local ingredients, whether it’s locally foraged elderflower, Dundee Marmalade or Raspberries from Blairgowrie.
For Finlay, it’s not enough for his chocolates to taste wonderful, he wants them to be a special gift for someone and at the heart of social get-togethers. Furthermore, not only do these chocolates bring people pleasure but they are also a way to bring jobs to Glenshiel and by doing so help boost the fragile economy of the community by supporting local suppliers.
His wee team are passionate about what they do and the chocolates are created with meticulous care. This passion is evident in the indulgent, full flavours.

All packaging is fully recyclable and 100% plastic free. The cocoa used is ethically and responsibly sourced and the chocolates contain zero artificial preservatives.
